Thanks to all of the volunteers who helped us collect donations, move in and prepare food and toy hampers. Also to Cochrane Events and all who helped at Stuff A Bus. A big shout out to Wheels for Kids who refurbished and donated all of the bikes.
Thanks to all who donated and volunteered at the food drive. It was exceptional!! A big shout out to Helping Hands who make it happen! There is a need year round for monetary and food bank donations. Monetary donations are used to purchase fresh produce and school items. Non-perishable food items for the regular Food Bank program, may be dropped off at local food stores.
Clothing, shoes and accessories in good condition are always needed. Many community volunteers donate thousands of hours to help the Cochrane Activettes provide our community with clean, gently used clothing at minimal or no cost. The Clothesline is a non profit, all proceeds used to fund many Cochrane Community programs.
We would like to thank everyone involved for the donations that allowed us an air conditioner. Among the the wonderful donors are the Government of Alberta grant for $5000.00 and $2500 each from Food Banks Alberta and the Cochrane Foundation. The air conditioner allows for a more hospitable environment for our hard working volunteers and allows for better food storage in our warehouse.
Come on down to Main Street on Sunday, July 1 Canada Day and participate in the Empty Bowls fundraiser. All proceeds are donated to the Cochrane Activettes Food Bank. https://cochranenow.com/local/from-empty-bowls-to-full-bowls
